Earl Gray (He/Him)

Running for Mr. San Diego Leather

Earl began his leather journey two decades ago with the Conductors Levi and Leather Club, where he led fundraising events, contributed to annual leather runs, and became an HIV and Aids activist. The work with the club led to the creation of his own non-profit group that raised over one hundred thousand dollars for underfunded charities in need.

Arriving in San Diego, his activism flourished while serving as Mr. San Diego Eagle 2023. Last year he ventured to Sacramento to meet with state representatives, resulting in $71 million dollars for STI and Overdose prevention being granted for LGBT programs across California. Since then, Earl has been recognized by the City of San Diego and the United States Congress for his continued fight against the spread of HIV and AIDS.

Earl looks forward to competing for and leading San Diego under the title of Mr. San Diego Leather 2024.

Paulo Batista (He/Him)

Running for Mr. San Diego Leather

Paulo Batista is 39-year-old, proud queer transgender man actively serving full-time in the US NAVY. Competitive bodybuilder and transgender youth mentor, originally from bible belt Florida. Seeking to make dreams a reality, he moved across country to San Diego in 2013, where he discovered the local accepting leather community and ultimately new family. In 2014 he became the first transgender Mr. San Diego Eagle, as well as, the first transgender Mr. SoCal Drummer in 2015 and runner up for the Mr. Drummer Contest in 2015. Currently stationed in San Diego, Paulo looks forward to proudly representing the San Diego leather community as a proud, queer, leather service member inspiring others around the world to follow their heart and gain the courage to pursue their dreams.

Kevin (He/Him)

Running for Mr. San Diego Leather

Kevin found a second home in the Leather community in San Diego in the aftermath of the pandemic, buying his first harness with a covid stimulus check and never looking back. The Leather community and event circuit have brought him into many sexy adventures here in San Diego and abroad. He is a passionate Leather social media influencer, currently serving as a Mr. S Leather affiliate on his Instagram, @kevinflipsout. He can be frequently seen wearing leather and encouraging others to do the same around San Diego, all while serving a healthy side of cake.

Mischief von Rowdyhousen (He/They)

Running for Mr. San Diego Bootblack

Mischief (He/They) is a trans masculine non-binary, polyamorous, pansexual queer, switch, born and raised in San Diego with 18+ years of experience in our local leather community. He has been caring for leather even longer, going back to when he was young and caring for his horseback riding gear before a competition. In 2019, with great encouragement from his community, he pursued bootblacking in the footsteps of his Daddy, Pup Rowdy (San Diego Bootblack 2019+). He quickly found immense joy in preserving and caring for the community’s leathers in this capacity, especially coming out of the lockdown. He has a love of teaching focused primarily on pet play and leather care and is the current house bootblack for San Diego SwapMeat.
